Camps

Thank you for your interest in our Summer Camp!

Fun and adventure awaits campers at Stable Hands with an opportunity to build self-esteem, self-awareness and self-discovery in a wonderful indoor and outdoor environment. Our camps are designed to accommodate children and teens ages 8-17. We have equines of various sizes. No horse experience is necessary.

Each camp offers the opportunity to:

  • Make new friends
  • Enjoy both mounted and unmounted horse activities that help campers learn riding skills and horse care knowledge, in a FUN and interactive environment
  • Engage in various arts and crafts activities
  • Get physical exercise
  • Play games to keep engaged and have a blast with other campers

All sessions are guided by two highly trained facilitators in equine assisted learning that have years of horsemanship experience. They carefully match campers with an appropriate horse.

Camp Sessions

Snacks, beverages and materials are provided. (Please inform us of any allergies or medication your child may be taking.)

Safety is our top priority at Stable Hands. For all horse programs, we require that participants wear smooth soled shoes or boots with heels, long pants and protective ASTM/SEI helmets (helmets are provided by camp, but campers may bring their own).

Our horse camp is a recreational riding program and is not intended to replace formal riding lessons.

Alternative programs may be planned if weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold, rain, or wind jeopardize the safety of campers or horses.

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before camp start time and pick up not later than 15 minutes after camp end time.

Before- and After-care
$15/hr for up to 1 hour before- and up to 1 hour after-care. Payment to be collected at time of service.
