Adventure Awaits at Horse Camp! Our third summer horse camp was another incredible week of learning, laughter, and unforgettable adventures at the barn! Each day brought new opportunities for campers to explore, create, and build confidence alongside their favorite equine friends.

Campers Shine Even in the Summer Heat. Despite some of the hottest temperatures of the summer, our second horse camp was filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable experiences! Over four exciting days, campers embraced every opportunity to learn, create, and spend time with our incredible horses while also discovering how to safely care for them during hot weather.

Four Days of Fun, Friendship, and Horses! Our campers enjoyed four unforgettable days packed with horses, creativity, learning, and laughter! Throughout the week, campers experienced hands-on activities designed to build confidence while learning about horse care and safety. They discovered how to help horses stay cool and hydrated during the summer heat, gave their equine friends refreshing baths, and even created safe, healthy horse treats to share. The fun didn’t stop there!

Campers of our June 2025 Summer Camp enjoyed arts and crafts and learning about horses from the ground to riding. They decorated canvas bags, learned about horse body parts, what and how much horses eat, and how safely to lead and ride a horse. On the last day of camp, campers had a chance to demonstrate to their families all that they learned.

Thanks to Science teacher Valerie McMeeken and the group of kids from St. Mary’s School who came out for a service day project. They planted carrots and zucchini for the horses, did some grooming and worked with the mini’s. Thank you so much! We really had fun!

Many thanks to Culver’s for selecting Stable Hands to be the beneficiary of Share Night! Board members donned the Culver’s aprons and volunteered from 4-8pm tonight, delivering orders, bussing tables, and even doing a little cleanup here & there. We had a great time, and helped raise money to support the equine assisted therapy programs that are so vital to our community.

Thank you to everyone that came out to our Snowshoe Hike & Wine Flight event last night. It was the perfect night for snowshoeing and then warming up with some hot drinks, wine and snacks! We are grateful for your support.

Stable Hands is pleased to announce a new program of horse camps offered throughout the year. Fun and adventure awaits your camper at Stable Hands with an opportunity for building self-esteem, self-awareness and self-discovery in a wonderful indoor and outdoor environment.

Thank you to everyone that gave raffle basket items, bought raffle tickets and came out today to bowl and support the Annual Scotch Doubles Bowling Fundraiser hosted by Edgar Lanes. With your support the event raised $4,450. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped with event. You helped make the day go flawlessly. As part of this fundraiser a cash ticket raffle was held. All 100 hundred of these tickets were sold.

Our Denim, Dinner & Dreams Event was a big success! A big “Thank You!” to Nicole Yunk, organizer & certified Equine Therapy Instructor, for doing such an awesome job of directing the volunteers, decorating, food service, sponsors, guests, reservations & raffles. Yes, that’s a lot! We’d also like to thank the Board members, staff & volunteers for making it such a pleasant and fun event.
