Stable Hands is excited to announce that we will be holding our 2nd Annual Snowshoe Hike & Wine Flight event. The event is free to attend and will be held at the Stable Hands farm location on Saturday, March 6 from 6pm-8pm. Please bring your own snowshoes if you have them. Limited snowshoes will be available to borrow. Or you can walk the course. The course is about 3/4 of mile long.

We invite you to enjoy this pre-recorded virtual concert from the comfort and safety of your home. The concert will launch and be available: December 1st at 6pm – December 15th at 10pm to watch whenever is most convenient. A link to the concert will be provided upon ticket purchase.

In accordance with Gov. Tony Evers mandate of cancelling classes at area schools temporarily for public health concerns, Stable Hands Equine Therapy Center is cancelling all of the day classes from Monday, March 16th through April 6th. Evening classes will begin (and day classes are planned to resume) in late April.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Stable Hands. The volunteer coordinator acts as our first point of contact for our Stable Hands volunteers and is responsible for ensuring our organization is always staffed with the best and most reliable individuals. My name is Angie and I have been in the Stable Hands program since 1992 when I was 4 years old. Now I am almost 21. When I started I could hardly sit up on my own, I needed my side walkers to help support me. After a few weeks of riding I was able to sit up well on my own and my balance improved, it was great!

Join us at the Stable Hands farm for an afternoon of winter fun. Saturday, March 2, 2019, 2 PM – 6 PM at Stable Hands Equine Therapy Center 10710 Evergreen Drive, Wausau Snowshoe Walk – take a walk around our property (about 1 mile) – free will donation per lap. Do as many laps as you want.

Brianna, now 22 years old, was involved in a tragic automobile accident in October of 2012 which left her in a coma for three months.  Her long road to recovery from a traumatic brain injury began in the ICU at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.  She has been surrounded by the most skilled doctors and therapists throughout her recovery process.
