Deb Drewke

Ranch Hand

In 2017 I moved from Illinois to Wausau. While in Illinois, I volunteered at Danada Equestrian Center where I fed horses, mucked stalls and helped with riding lessons. I wanted to continue working with horses and was happy to find the Stable Hands website.

I started in summer of 2017 volunteering as a horse leader. I liked being around the barn so much, when help was needed with feeding I jumped in! Now I’m a Ranch hand!

My favorite hobby is learning how to ride a horse. I lease Stable Hands horse Dixie. We’ve been partners for years! I also enjoy playing and walking my dog, Reiley as well as cuddling with my rescue cat, Daisy.

The volunteer event I remember most was the sleigh ride at Willow Springs. It was a great way to keep volunteers engaged over the winter break and get people out, embracing the cold.
