Leslie Brown
Certified Equine Facilitated Learning Facilitator/Board President - Programs Team Lead
I learned of Stable Hands in 2008 when I brought my neurodivergent daughter out for classes. I began working with Stable Hands in 2010, when through my marketing business, I was hired to write the script and coordinate a video they were making for the capital campaign to purchase the property they are on now and build the indoor arena. After learning so much about the program and the Stable Hands mission, I became part of the capital campaign committee, then an events committee member, then a board member and now also facilitator.
I volunteer my time as the President of the Board of Directors and a Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator. I have completed training as a Trauma-informed Care Practitioner and help as a horse leader or side walker when needed. I enjoy working with both children and adults of all abilities. As a USMC Veteran, I most enjoy working with Veterans and their families and am excited to see the V.A.S.T. and At Liberty programs growing.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family boating, playing games and traveling. I also enjoy reading and am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge.
One of my favorite things about Stable Hands is seeing our clients gain new skills.
